Zoom with Scroller Wheel in CS3!!!!!!!!

Ok... so some (maybe even most) of you already know this, but I just discovered this toDAY! And I'm so excited about it, I can hardly see straight. hahahaa.

Any of you CS2 or CS3 users who upgraded from Photoshop Elements HATE that you can no longer zoom in and out using the scroller wheel on your mouse? Well, guess what?? YOU CAN!!! I stumbled onto this earlier today while changing a few settings in CS3. Anyway... here's how.

Choose Edit, then choose Preferences, then choose General.

Now simply find the option that says Zoom with Scroll Wheel and click OK.

It's that simple. I couldn't believe it. hahaha.

Now... if there's anyone out there who uses CS2, can you try these steps and let us know if the option is there too? I can't think of anyone I know off-hand who uses CS2. But once I know, I'll come back and update it here. :)

Edited to say:

"Ok, so I had to check once I read this. Sure enough, you can set it to zoom too [in CS2]. Same way as you described. Thanks for the tip! Oh and for Mac users for photoshop it's not Edit then Preferences, it's Photoshop then Preferences (just a side note)."

Thanks Becca!!!!!!!! :)

And there is another way too, I discovered! Just hit ctrl+ or ctrl- to zoom in and out! Make sure that you 'zoom resizes windows' is marked too (edit - preferences - general)... and your window follows the size of the picture! Whoooaaaaoe...!

Yep, it works in CS2. But, when I closed out of the program and reopened it, I had to go back to preferences so it would zoom with the wheel. Anyone else have that problem?

Thank you soooooo much!!! Imagine my frustration and then the excitement! This is better than what I discovered sometime ago... hold ALT and use scroller wheel to zoom in and out. Love your blog! TFS!
